Dan Safford is our senior proposal consultant with nearly 20 years experience managing proposals. He works with clients to plan, write and manage proposal development efforts. He also conducts our proposal training and speaks widely on proposal related issues. Dan works with clients from a broad range of firms and organizations. His clients include firms in the defense industry, Information Technology, Architecture/ Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) field, hard-goods manufacturers, electric and gas power utilities, health care providers, school districts, and state and local governments. Dan has worked for Boeing Defense & Space Group as a Proposal Specialist, where he managed dozens of proposals, with a win rate of over 75%. While at Boeing he also served as a training manager. Prior to that, he taught technical writing at Kansas State University and Oregon Institute of Technology. Before going to work in the corporate world, Dan taught technical writing for ten years, at Kansas State University and Oregon institute of Technology. He is our main course developer and trainer. In the past ten years he has taught his proposal class to hundreds of engineers, scientists and marketing professional in a wide variety of industries. He has published widely. In addition to writing his book Proposals; On Target, On Time, he is a frequent contributor to newsletters and journals.
